I don’t rate hotels in things they can’t control, but the walls were thin so know that before you book if you have a problem sleeping or have a large loud group in might not be right for. It was close to a few restaurants and a short beach walk, also trails and other beaches around Sleeping Bear. You can tell the care about the property and it is well maintained and pretty. Rooms were nice and clean, shower pressure and heat were good, it was well-appointed (coffee maker, cork screw, enough towels and such for two, fridge /microwave, noise /sound machine and a lot of places to store suitcases and bags, very comfortable beds with the best pillows on our trip.) The two double bed room was definitely big enough for two for a weekend but might be tight with kids. They had one room left in the original hotel. A quick pivot put us in this hotel as we decided to spend some more time around Sleeping Bear. We were supposed to go to Detroit on our last leg of our Michigan Road trip but there was a huge power outage there including the hotel we booked.
